AROUND THE BRITISH ISLES

This penultimate ‘collections’ album features images from various locations around the British Isles. It's a mixed set of animal and bird photos, albeit with an emphasis on the latter simply because there are far more opportunities to photograph birds in the UK. I've had to be very selective, which means there are quite a number of species, or indeed complete families such as gulls, that are not represented. Passerines are probably the most obvious omission, but that's not because they've been forgotten. There were just too many to include, which is why they've been placed into their own dedicated album. In order to make the set a bit more interesting, I've not followed any particular sequence with the way the images have been arranged other than keeping multiple photos of a species together.

The following thumbnails expand when clicked. You can then scroll through the images in either the 'standard view', or an alternative 'compact view' (via the info button) if you wish to see where the photo was taken and read about the encounter and/or the species.

Whilst my albums are optimised for viewing on a desktop monitor or larger laptop, there is an optional 'full screen' mode for tablets or notebooks. But, please note that if you do use this mode on a smaller device, the top and/or bottom of some photos may

be clipped, and if you leave your curser over the image the navigation overlay backgrounds may be visible.
